Map of proposed Quarry Site

HANSON'S LAND PURCHASES

HANSON Australia has been progressively buying land in the Bunyip North region, initially under the guise of being for pastoral purposes.

Their most recent acquisition being the Tonimbuk Equestrian centre.

They now have a total area of approximately 2.2 Square Kilometres which is roughly 220 hectares or 543 acres!

PROXIMITY TO MT. CANNIBAL RESERVE

The large granite rocky outcrops in the Mt. Cannibal reserve are over 350 million years old and represent one of the largest displays in southern Victoria. The reserve is within 400 metres of the Quarry site!

PROXIMITY TO EXISTING QUARRIES

There are already two other quarries within a 6.5 km radius of this proposed quarry site. How many quarries are too many in such a small radius?

Is this something you want on your door step?

West Gippsland could become a corridor of quarries if we don't stop this now.
